Home of the Rams

We took a little trip to Fort Collins. It was a chance to "get outta dodge", see old friends and visit a town that Luke and I love and where we fell in love. We were able to stay at our good friends, Jerry and Melindas new home in Loveland. Jerry and Melinda still own the ranch where we live in CA, but they are now living in Loveland and enjoying a new chapter in their lives. Their home was perfect for us....It had a full basement where we could be with Colby. The weather was dry, but very windy. Not surprising for Northern CO in the spring though. We were able to go out to dinner in Fort Collins at one of our favorite places....oh how I miss you Austins, drink Sunshine Wheat and Easy Street beer and visit with old friends. Grammie Paula was able to come over for a quick trip to see Colby and the best part was Colby getting to meet Colton Kalous. Colton is Courtney and Tod's little boy who is exactly (to the day) one year older than Colby. It was so great to have the boys meet for the first time. I know they are going to be great buddies, just like their mama's! Oh, and I was just a little excited to see my buddy, Courtney. She looked great! We played inside, sat in the swings, looked at the chickens and fed cookies to the horses. What a good day and a great trip. There are just those places that always feel like home no matter how long you have been away. Fort Collins is that place for me.

Justa swingin.....

Colby and Colton swinging.

The boys meeting for the first time. Colby really like Coltons hair!

Best buddies and future best buddies!

Colby and his sun glasses crack me up. I couldn't resist this this one!
