It's A Wonderful World.....

A special thank you to Hilda, my boss and a fantastic photographer for capturing these great pictures of Colby and the three of us as a family. We ran up to Knights Ferry one Sunday afternoon in hopes to capture a few pictures of Colby. There are so many great shots, it is hard to choose. Hilda did a great job!! Otherwise, we are all good. Work will begin to pick up for Luke and I both with breeding and show season right around the corner. Colby is 17 months, running and thinking he is pretty hot stuff these days. He is such a joy and a blessing for Luke and I. He constantly reminds me to be thankful for the little things....blowing bubbles, reading a new book, chocolate pudding, goodnight kisses and playing in the leaves.

Tidings of Comfort and Joy

December was a busy month.....and a joyous month filled with family, friends, food, birthdays, traveling and of course Christmas.  Mid month we headed south to celebrate Christmas early in LA.  We had a great trip!  Colby was able to see most of his family, play with his "cousins" (I think they are actually third cousins...but who's counting.  They were fun! :) and celebrate Grammie Bre Bre's birthday.  It was her 30 year celebration of being 28!! Ha Ha!!  We had a wonderful early Christmas dinner with the family and came home with our suitcases a little heavier!  We even put together a 500 piece puzzle!

Christmas day was spent here in CA, in our house.  What a fun day!! Colby loved tearing tissue paper and handing gifts to Luke and I.  His big surprise from us was a lookout tree-house (which is now in our living room).  Luckily, this little project didn't take us too long to put together.  But I'm sure in the future our Christmas Eve projects will grow in difficulty.  I made a delicious brunch of skiers french toast, chili egg bake and fresh fruit that morning.  We opened gifts, played, and had a great day, just the three of us enjoying this special day as a family.  For dinner, we went to Hilda's (my boss) who had many friends and family over.  I cooked a prime rib for the dinner and we had a fantastic meal.

Here are just a handful of the great pictures from our trip to LA.

Modeling our slippers
Colby even shared his wagon with Gunther, Ava and Faye.  He loved pushing them around!
One of my favorite pictures of the entire trip.  These glasses were great!
Cousins!  They were all over the place, it was hard to get them to pose.

Happy Birthday Brenda!
