A new friend

The Bass house has been quite these days except for the new "yell" Colby has acquired. It makes an appearance mostly at night and lasts for 30-45 seconds at a time. All we can do is laugh. It borders on a cry + laugh + scream. He has also decided that rolling over is not all that bad. I caught him the other morning going back and forth in his crib playing with a toy.
Last week, I officially began working again. It is only two days a week, but does give me some time out of the house and back at the barn. Colby has a new friend Ms. Amy, the babysitter. She is doing great so far and they seem to be getting along. She does get to watch him when he is at his best, in the mornings. I know this will be a good thing for us all. It's funny how in just a few hours away, I already miss my little man. The best part is she comes to our house so Colby gets to miss all the sick kiddos at a regular daycare and has all his own toys, bed, etc.
Luke has been dabbling with his hobbies again since work is slow. He has hit some golf balls when the sun is out and roped a few steers at some friends. We are excited for spring to come, the sun to shine and to get outside.

This is the face that goes along with the new "yell"!

Look Mom, no pants!

Dad and his boy.

Colby loves to sit up. Notice his friend the black stallion is there too!

I love this little half smile!
