California Baby Shower

Let me tell you something, I have some terrific friends! Melinda Black, Hailey Williams and Brenda Bass put together a very special baby shower here in Oakdale. It was so great that Luke's mom was able to come out, spend some time with Luke (they went to the US Open at Pebble Beach) and be a part of the shower. I am so glad we were able to make it all work and spend some quality time together. They had a great time at the golf tournament and we had some laughs and ate some really great food at the shower. I am so thankful to have such great ladies in my life and thank everyone who came and helped and gave a gift for Baby Bass! He sure is lucky!! Also, my mom was able to come out and spend some time with us. We (or I should say mom) painted, painted and painted some more and we now have a beautiful guest room and baby's room.

Babies, Babies....

Congratulations to another long-time friend (maybe a friend since the sand box days), Jackie (Goza) Marquez. Jackie and her husband Mario and big sister Sadie welcomed Megan Marie into the world on May 26th. It was really great to be in town and able to stop by the hospital to say hi and meet Miss Megan. She was tiny but that will not slow her down. Big sister Sadie was quite the helper and boy is she going to drive those boys wild. Congrats to the Marquez family!

Grand Junction Baby Shower

It was great to travel back home at the end of May for our first baby shower. My mom (Paula) hosted a morning brunch shower. We had fruit, quiche, egg casserole, home-made coffee cake, and some great deserts. It's okay to have desert in the morning, right? It was very special to share this day with my mom, two grandmothers and friends. We were able to catch up and share special baby stories. I also received some great gifts. Thanks everyone! And before I knew it, it was time to travel back to Denver to catch my plane. Courtney was my shuttle and I was able to spend some good car riding time with her and the little man Colton. He was a trooper! This was also a big weekend pregnancy wise, I officially entered the third trimester (28 weeks pictured).
